West, Fire Chief <br /> <br />DATE: July 18, 2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Promoting the Use of Intrastate Mutual Aid <br />Agreements <br /> <br />Attached is a resolution promoting the use of intrastate mutual aid agreements. The Elk River Fire <br />Department has used formal mutual aid agreements with their neighboring communities for many <br />years; however, the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) has <br />requested that emergency management organizations formally adopt resolutions such as the one <br />attached to officially acknowledge the use of mutual aid agreements between jurisdictions. <br /> <br />If you have any questions prior to Monday's Council meeting, please feel free to give me a call at the <br />Elk River Fire Department at 763.635.1105. <br />
