<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 9, 1961 <br /> <br />A special meeting was held at Village Hall on May 9, 1961 at 5 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />A motion was made by Kemper and seconded by Meyer to accept low bid of McCrosson of <br />$19,482.00 for street surfacing. Carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Kemper to accept low of Rooter and Johnson for <br />parking lot of $1448.02. Carried. <br /> <br />Earl Hohlen was present. He would like to have sewer across the new Highway near the eastern <br />village line. <br /> <br />Motion by Meyer and second by Kemper to advertise for bids for a sewer extension at this point. <br />Notice of hearing in paper for May 22, 9:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Vote was by roll call – Meyer – yes, Johnson – yes, Kemper – yes, Briggs – yes. Larson absent. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br />P.S. A motion was made by Larson and seconded by Kemper to employ Dan Bailey to make <br />assessment for sewer up to the new school. Carried. <br /> <br />
