<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 6, 1961 <br /> <br />A special meeting was held at Village Hall on April 6, 1961 for the purpose of consulting with the <br />D.F. Kohl Company regarding bills they have claimed owed them by the village for work in <br />connection with their plumbing contract on the liquor building. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, Lars Larson, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A. <br />Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />Also present: Al Balow, Frederick Moos, Architect, Rudolph Barthel and two representatives of the <br />Kohl Co. <br /> <br />There was discussion regarding the bills, some of which the Council objected to. <br /> <br />Before the meeting was over a compromise was agreed upon to pay the sume of $345.00 which was <br />about half of the amount claimed by the Kohl Co. The clerk was authorized to write a check to the <br />Kohl Co. for that amount $345.00. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br />
