<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 2, 1960 <br /> <br />A regular meeting was held at Village Hall on May 2, 1960. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Henry Johnson, Mayor; August Meyer, G.R. Bergerson, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Johnson. <br /> <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bernard Fiero, Lawrence Westholder <br />and Martin Shevenson were present. They asked for extension of sewer and water lines. The Council <br />explained that they would need to present a written application. <br /> <br />Kent Houlton, representing the Elk River School Board met with the Council regarding the charge <br />for sewer rental for the schools. He took with him information on how this change is arrived at by <br />the Village Council. <br /> <br />The clerk was asked to write Carter Krueger and Associates in regard to a possible rebate of their <br />fees in connection with the cost of serving the Bailey Feed Mill with sewer services. This was <br />because it was decided not to go with the track to serve the Feed Mill. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Bergerson to send two boys to the School Patrol <br />school at Brainard. Motion carried. <br /> <br />There was discussion in regard to an agent of record for Village insurance. Further discussion was <br />postponed until next meeting. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Bergerson to deposit the Sewer Extension fund in <br />the Bank of Elk River. Pennig Co – black top 57.51 <br />Doebler Pure Oil – gas and oil 63.98 <br />Oliver Michaeu – labor 46.25 <br />Derr and Dressig – fire school 35.20 <br />Van Deuyne Co – gravel 23.40 <br />Ruth Kramer – asst. 30.00 <br />Clarence Kramer – janitor 5.00 <br />Farm Bureau – gas, oil, mdse 86.09 <br />George Moos – police 87.24 <br />Richard Peterson – labor 38.75 <br /> <br />
