The pool was narrowed down to 17 candidates <br />for a second interview. Eight of those candidates interviewed with Chief Nierenhausen who made the <br />decision for which candidates to move on to background checks, physical and psychological testing. After <br />successfully passing each of these elements, we recommend Tyler Corrier for one of the vacancies. <br />Mr. Corrier has been working as a patrol officer at East Grand Forks Police Department since 2017. Prior to <br />that he worked as a probation officer and a police intern/reserve. He also served in the US Marine Corps for <br />four years. Mr. Corrier holds a bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement. <br />Mr. Corrier will begin at step 1 of the patrol union contract.
