UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Thomas Geiser – Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />April14, 2020 6.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Installed 5 new residential services, which involvesthe installation of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br /> Two electric poles were struck by vehicles, one on County Road 12 and one on Jarvis <br />Street. We had to replace the support cables for both. <br /> The City’s Fleet Maintenance Division will be performing Department of Transportation <br />inspections on our trucks and trailers during March and April. <br /> <br />With the decreasing frost depth, we are expectingan increaseinournumber of <br />projects. <br /> <br /> Staff worked with electricians on service upgrades at Distinctive Iron and the ResCare <br />Building. <br /> <br />The electric department has been adapting work processes during the COVID-19 <br />pandemic.
