UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Tom Sagstetter Conservation & Key Accounts Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />April 14, 2020 6.1e <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br />In the last 30 days, the level two charger located downtown had 2 sessions and provided <br />customers with 14 kWh of green energy. The charger in the ERMU/City Hall parking lot <br />had 5 sessions and provided customers with 74 kWh of green energy. The DC fast <br />charger at the Coborns fuel station has had 6 sessions and provided 42 kWh of green <br />energy to customers. There was a total of 13 charging sessions and 113 kWh of energy <br />provided over the last 30 days. <br /> <br />ERMU is working with City staff and the Energy City Commission to purchase an electric <br />bike (E-bike) to be used by City and Utility staff. The bike will have a custom wrap <br />developed to promote EV/ER, Clean Energy Choice, and Powered by Nature. The bike <br />can be used for quick trips around town and at promotional events. The Elk River Police <br />Department will participate in testing to determine the viability of this technology. <br /> <br />Completed the interconnection of a 5.47 kW solar system on a residential home. That <br />was the second installation completed so far this year. <br /> <br />The Clean Energy Choice program had great growth as a result of the promotional flyers <br />sent with the March billing statements. ERMU has added 26 new residential customers <br />this year, bringing the total participation to 315.
