Meeting of the Elk River <br />Economic Development Authority <br />Public Art Sub-committee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Thursday, February 6, 2020 <br /> <br />Members Present: Dan Tveite, Jennifer Wagner, Sharon Tracy, Mike Niziolek, Ann <br />McCormick <br /> <br />Staff Present: Economic Development Director, Amanda Othoudt <br /> <br />Others Present: Matthew Coppersmith, Coppersmith Customs <br /> <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic <br />Development Authority Public Art Sub-Committee was called to order at 3:00 p.m. <br />by Dan Tveite. <br /> <br />2. Consider Agenda <br /> <br />Moved by Jennifer Wagner and seconded by Sharon Tracy to approve the <br />agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />3.1 January 23, 2020, Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Moved by Sharon Tracy and seconded by Ann McCormick to approve the <br />consent agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />4. General Business <br /> <br />4.1 Public Art Proposals <br /> <br />Ms. Othoudt presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Matthew Coppersmith, of Coppersmith Customs presented his proposal to the sub- <br />committee which included important detailed information on potential locations, <br />size, itemization of costs, maintenance, design and engineering of the art installation. <br /> <br />The sub-committee discussed potential locations with Mr. Coppersmith. The <br />consensus of the group was to locate the public art in front of the Granite Shores <br />building and obtain permission of the property owner. <br /> <br />
