<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 12, 1936 <br /> <br />The special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg July 12, 1936 at 2:30 <br />o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />J.D. Flaherty, Pres.; G.A. Bailey, Geo Cornelius, Wm Patenaude, Trustees; <br />Wm H Greupner, Clerk. <br /> <br />The purpose of this meeting was to decide if the Village wanted to go ahead with the curb and <br />sidewalk project under the W.P.A. A motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by G.A. Bailey <br />to work on three blocks and see how it would work out. The three blocks are the court house block <br />known as Oak Street between Depot and Main St. The block on Thomas Street between Lyon and <br />Depot Street and the block on High Street between Lyon and Depot Street.
