VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 3, 1936

The special meeting of the Village Council was held at Caleys Hdwe store Monday June 3, 1936 at
2:00 o’clock P.M.

Members present:
J.D. Flaherty, Pres.; G.A. Bailey, Geo Cornelius, Wm Patenaude, Trustees;
Wm H Greupner, Clerk.

The purpose of this meeting was to act on the application which was presented by Mrs. Anna Plank
for a building permit to build three or four cabins on her property known as Lot 8 and 9, block 6 –
Houltons Add. After an investigation a motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Geo
Cornelius and carried to reject this application on the grounds that this was not the proper place for
any more cabins because it was rgith in the heart of the residential section.

A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Geo Cornelius to purchase a 2 in water meter
from the Neptune Meter Co to be installed at the Elk River Concrete Products Co. Up to this time
they have been using a one in. meter and finding it too small it was necessary to disconnect it and
put in a sp___d as they used 166 thousand gal of water for a period of five weeks or approximately
st
$17.00. It was decided to charge them $40.00 on the July 1 bill for the period of 3 months.

No further business meeting adjourned.

Wm. H. Greupner J.D. Flaherty
Clerk Pres
