<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 2, 1935 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday September 2, <br />1935 at 8 o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />D.E. Davis, Pres.; Geo. Cornelius, Wm Patenaude, J.D. Flaherty, Trustees; <br />Wm H Greupner, Clerk. <br /> <br />Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />Harry Dow came before the Council and asked if the curb and sidewalk project had been approved. <br />He was told that the project had been approved at the state office and we are waiting for the <br />approval of the Federal Office. <br /> <br />The zoning Ordinance from the League of Municipalities was read. It was decided to turn it over to <br />Frank White and have him examine it and to advise the Council if such an ordinance should be <br />passed. <br /> <br />A letter was read from A.L. Mitten, relief administrator, requesting the Council to pay the County <br />$370.79 because all relief orders were written on the County instead of the separate townships. The <br />Village not having this amount in the poor fund the Clerk was instructed to see the County Treas. <br />And ask if this amount could not be carried over for a period of six months. <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed and ordered payed <br /> <br />Miller Davis Co – supplies 6.67 <br />Ralph Wige – band leader 100.00 <br />E.R. Power and Lt Co – light and power 291.45 <br />N.W. Bell Tele Co – tele rent 2.50 <br />Fred Ayer – 24.40 <br />Fred Ayer – Attending 2 fires 26.00 <br />R.E. Dare – supplies 1.05 <br />Wm H Greupner – freight 1.21 <br />Waterous Co – supplies 13.08 <br />Central Lbr Co – supplies .69 <br />Chas M. Nelson – tele calls 2.70 <br />Joe Hedburg – repairs 1.00 <br />Oliver Micheau – police during fair 9.10 <br />J W C Millan – supplies 2.81 <br />Lloyd Robers – life guard 30.00 <br />Dan Hjerpe – repairs 2.90 <br />H.R. Caley – supplies 30.89 <br />Aeronautic Chamber of Commerce – books 1.12 <br />Junior Literary Guild – books 5.66 <br />Lerner Men Store – supplies for band 16.20 <br /> <br />
