<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 14, 1935 <br /> <br />The special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday August 14, 1935 <br />at 8 o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />The purpose of this meeting was to meet with S.E. Sullivan, relief adm. In regards to getting up a <br />project for curb and sidewalk. Mr. Sullivan made up a project which called for 12 blocks of curb and <br />sidewalk. The cost to the property owner would be 10 cents a running ft for curb, 7 ½ cents a sq <br />foot for sidewalk. This amount would pay for the material. He stated the men working on the <br />project, including a foreman, would be payed from the federal funds. A motion was made by Wm. <br />Greupner seconded by Wm Patenaude to have Mr. Sullivan send in the application for this project <br />of 12 blocks of curb and sidewalk. Motion carried. <br /> <br />L.G. Nelson and M.K. Cliff came before the Council and asked to have an ordinance passed which <br />would restrict people from putting up certain kinds of buildings in the Village of Elk River. The <br />clerk was instructed to see Frank White and inquire if such an ordinance could be passed. <br /> <br />No further business meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Wm. H. Greupner D.E.
