City Council
reviewed the project early last summer but moved to deny the project based on traffic concerns along Line
Avenue and the unknown direction for roadway improvements resulting from the Highway 169 project.
Since withdrawing the application on July 10, 2019, MnDOT has further refined their plans for 169 and the
applicant completed a traffic study to evaluate traffic concerns on the local street network. The traffic study
ultimately shows no adverse impact to the proposed street network and the most recent plans from
MnDOT show a cul-de-sac on Line Avenue to reduce traffic impacts at Line/Main.
The applicant is seeking support from City Council prior to moving forward with the formal review of the
project.
Financial Impact
None
Attachments
■ Location Map
■ Site Plans
■ Traffic Study
The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional,` 01 e
service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity INAMIRE1
