General Business
3.1 Arena remodeling update

Arena Manager Rich Czech reviews where the City is in the renovation project. It
was presented to the user groups last week by City Administrator Cal Portner and
was well received.

Commissioner Westgaard adds RJM suggested two new sheets and using the
Olympic for turf instead of the original plan which renovated the Olympic and tore
down/rebuilt the barn.

Czech adds the City is in discussion with the School District about the bathrooms
being used for football games and potentially adding a concessions stand on the west
side. He feels the plans as presented are about 90% final.

Vice Chair Balabon inquires about the size of the Youth Hockey office.

Czech replies it is comparable to the current office. He also notes there are pros and
cons to leaving the boards up in the Olympic when it is turned into turf, and that
there will be a class 5 base underneath it.

Vice Chair Balabon feels the baseball and softball groups would be interested in turf
rental.

Chair Givens asks if the arena should ever be expanded to 3 sheets, what would need
to be done to the Olympic? (after it is remodeled for turf)
