<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 92 - la <br />RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />DECLARING THE CITY'S INTENT TO BECOME THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT <br />UNIT RESPONSIBLE FOR ADMINISTERING THE INTERIM RULES <br />OF THE WETLAND CONSERVATION ACT OF 1991 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State Legislature adopted the Wetland <br />Act of 1991 in an effort to protect <br />resources of the State of Minnesota; and, <br /> <br />Conservation <br />the wetland <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Water and <br />developing the rUles, <br />carry out the act; and <br /> <br />Soil Resources <br />guidelines and <br /> <br />is currently <br />procedures to <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a complete prohibition on the burning, filling, or <br />draining of wetlands will take place unless a local <br />unit of government declares responsibility for <br />administering the interim rules which are effective <br />from January 1, 1992 until July 1, 1993. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River realizes the public value of <br />wetlands and the importance of having a local unit of <br />government administer the interim rules; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council <br />of Elk River; that the City of Elk River hereby <br />intention to administer the interim provisions of <br />Conservation Act of 1991. <br /> <br />of the City <br />declares its <br />the Wetland <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 2nd day <br />of March, 1992. <br /> <br />.,,,p" J... .,..//,.77 <br /> <br />iti'niJ'7 /1 -L( /~.(/le <br />J~mes A.
