Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Energy City <br /> Commission was called to order by Vice Chair Griner at 8:30 a.m. <br /> 2. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Griner led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 3. Consider Agenda <br /> Agenda approved unanimously by members. <br /> 4. Consider Minutes <br /> Consider minutes from both the August 28, 2019 meetings. Minutes approved <br /> unanimously by members. <br /> 5.1 Member Updates <br /> Commissioner Steinbeck provided a brief update about the GRE facility in Elk River <br /> that will be begin demolition in early 2020. They are currently working on <br /> decommissioning the site and the power will likely be off at the site completely by <br /> the end of the year. No physical removal of material will occur on the site until <br /> spring 2020. This site previously had nuclear power, but there is no radiation present <br /> currently. They continue to share information with the city and public about the <br /> process. <br /> 5.2 Henry Griner presentation: Climate Reality Project Counterpoint <br /> In response to the Iverson's presentation at the last ECC meeting, Commissioner <br /> Griner asked to present his own counterpoint information to their information. <br /> Griner previously worked for a power company and owned his own solar company. <br />
