UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Mark Fuchs – Operations Director <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />February 11, 2020 6.1c <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Had 9 new house services. <br /> Continue collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits. <br /> Continue working on removing the overhead infrastructure on Pascal Street, Troy Street, <br />and 189th Avenue. <br /> We are going through the electrical infrastructureto make sure the map matches what is <br />in the field. We are checking that the proper warning stickersarein place, using an <br />infrared camera to make sure the transformer connections are not overheating, and <br />checking for any other issues. This task will be preformed between other jobs that come <br />in. <br /> The shipment of decorative poles came in but had to be sent back because they were <br />damaged in shipping. We are working with the decorativepole supplierto get thisissue <br />resolvedas quicklyas possible. <br />th <br /> <br /> Continue rebuilding the three-phase overhead line on Jarvis Street between 165 <br />Avenue and Highway 10. This is a project we have been working on in the winter <br />months when the ground is frozen. There are some three phase undergroundlinesthat <br />will need to be installed beforewe can finish the project. <br /> Continue working on the replacement of seven poles that didn’t pass inspection. This <br />task will be performed between other jobs as they come in. <br />Carr’s Tree Service and ERMU crews continuetreetrimming. <br />In preparation for truckinspections, staff istesting the overhead and underground <br />protective grounds, the fiberglass hot sticks, and cleaning thebooms. These are all done <br />annually. <br /> A vehicle struck one of the new decorative streetlights at the intersection of Main Street <br />and ParishAvenue; it willneedto be replaced. <br /> We took delivery of our new Vermeer Brush Chipper. The chipper was a budgeted <br />equipment replacement. <br />Field staff were trainedonNISC AppSuitethe week of January 21.
