We received <br />101 applications and interviewed six candidates. Following background check and pre -employment <br />testing, we recommend Jared DeBoer for this position. <br />Mr. DeBoer is currently a seasonal laborer in our parks division. He worked as a seasonal laborer last <br />winter as well. When he's not working for us, Mr. DeBoer has run his own shoreline restoration and <br />landscape business since May of 2014. He has also worked as a laborer, foreman, and production <br />manager at Septic Check in Milaca and prior to that, co -owned a landscaping business. <br />He holds a BA in Management from St. John's University, a Class A Commercial Driver's License, a <br />Commercial Pesticide Applicator certification, and is a certified Site Manager/Installer for Storm Water <br />and Erosion Control. <br />This position is part of the IUOE Local 49 and all pay and benefits are consistent with union contract <br />and city policy. <br />Financial Impact <br />This is a budgeted position. <br />Attachments <br />■ None <br />The Elk River Vision <br />A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional,` 01 e <br />service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires pi ospei ly INAMIRE1 <br />
