Councilmember <br />adoption: <br />Westgaard <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />City of Elk River <br />City Council <br />Resolution 20- 5 <br />A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging <br />Contributions <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and <br />individuals for their contributions to the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $5,000 grant donation from Walmart <br />Community Grants with the intent it be used by the Fire Department for purchase of a <br />firefighter turnout gear dryer. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths <br />vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Walmart for their donation. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Ovall , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof <br />Mayor Dietz, Ccninr- i lmamharc.Chri ci-i ^nenn, WeStgga@=4 UVall, and W%uar' <br />and the following against: none whereupon said <br />resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />we following members were present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Christianson, <br />estgaard, Ovall, and Magner <br />and the following absent: <br />none <br />Passed and adopted this 6t' day of January 2020. <br />ATTEST: <br />Tina Allard, City Clerk <br />Wjoj., Mayor <br />rNo <br />IRfi EUR� Ii T <br />
