<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 17, 1941 <br /> <br />th <br />A meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg on Feb 17, 1941 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> M.C. Tesch, Pres; Frank Nickerson, E.L. Shadick, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; J. <br />Clinton Walker, Clerk <br /> <br />The following relief clients were taken care of: <br /> <br />L.J. Bethke - $10 Grocery order <br />Chester Waite – ½ ton of coal <br />F. Carlson - $10 Grocery order <br /> <br />John Swanson was recommended for W.P.A. certification. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Frank Nickerson and seconded by E.L. Shadick approving the list of non- <br />conservation bank forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes for the year of 1931 <br />and 1933 as provided by Chapter 386, Laws of 1935, as amended. <br /> <br />Description: <br /> <br />Village Lot 6 Block 15 <br />North Park Addition <br />Village Lot 7 Block 15 <br />Village Lot 5 Block 2 <br />Village Lot 6 Block 2 <br />Village Lot 11 Block 2 <br />Village Lot 12 Block 2 <br />Village Lot 13 Block 2 <br />Village Lot 14 Block 2 <br /> <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />A motion was made by E.L. Shadick and seconded by Frank Nickerson approving the application of <br />R.C. O’Riley for off and on sale beer licenses. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The clerk was instructed to send notices to those delinquent on water rents advising them that <br />service would be discontinued if the accounts were not settled within ten days. <br /> <br />Mrs. Mae Anderson, Ed Beck, Don Davis, Gust Johnson, Harlold Johnson, Rev Morrison, Roland <br />Murray, J.L. Pink, Alan Dare, Sam Lermer. <br /> <br /> <br />No further business. Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
