<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 4, 1939 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday December 4, <br />1939 at 8 o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Frank Nickerson, Pres.; G.A. Bailey, Wm Patenaude, and Geo Cornelius, Trustees; <br />Wm H Greupner, Clerk <br /> <br /> The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />Geo Cornelius reported about his talk with Henry Arnold of Princeton, about the water pipe for <br />upper town, which was to be used for a fire hydrant. Mr. Arnold said a job like this would cost in <br />the neighborhood of $500.00. After giving the matter consideration it was decided not to have this <br />done at the present time. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm. Greupner seconded by Geo Cornelius to grant S.R. Houlton a building <br />permit to build a small play house for the children. Motion carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by Wm Patenaude to allow the following bills. <br /> <br /> <br />N.W. Bell Tele Co Tele rent $5.25 <br />E.R.
