<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 13, 1940 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the council was held Aug 13, 1940 to meet with S. Rex Green and Harold <br />Chard representatives of the Minnesota Highway Department to look over the proposed plans for <br />the trunk Highway No. 10 which is to be constructed thru Elk River. After looking over the plans a <br />motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by Frank Nickerson to pass the following resolution. <br /> <br />S.R. 7101 (1033) <br />S.P. 7702) Sherburne County <br /> <br />Resolution <br />Approving the general plans for the construction and improvement of Trunk Highway No. 10, <br />formerly Truck Highway No. 3. <br /> <br />Resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Elk River. <br /> <br />Whereas the Commissioners of Highway of the State of Minnesota is about to designate the location <br />of Trunk Highway No. 10, formerly designated Trunk Highway No. 3. <br />Resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Elk River. <br />Whereas, the Commissioners of Highways of the State of Minnesota is about to designate the <br />location of Trunk Highway No. 10, formally designated Trunk Highway No. 3 through the Village <br />of Elk River as shown upon the plan which is presented herewith and made a part here of, and <br />Whereas, said Commissioner of Highways proposes to construct and improve said trunk highway <br />through said Village and has prepared plans for said construction and improvement a copy of which <br />said plans are presented herewith and made a part of this resolution; <br />Be it resolved that said general plan for the construction and improvement of said trunk highway <br />through said Village be and the same hereby are approved. <br />Dated at Elk River, Minnesota this 13 day of Aug 1940. <br />Village of Elk River <br /> <br />Wm H Greupner M.C.
