<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 15, 1940 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday Jan 15, 1940 at 8 <br />o’clock P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> M.C. Tesch, Pres.; Frank Nickerson, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; Wm H Greupner, <br />Clerk <br /> <br />The purpose of this meeting was to take care of the relief clients as follows <br /> <br />Chas Kurrasch - Lights $1.00 Groceries $13.00 Fuel $12.76 Milk $3.00 <br />Joe Belanger - 3 pr overshoes $3.50 <br />Gerald Sykes – Milk $1.50 Groc $5.00 Fuel $5.00 <br />August Luder - 1 pr girls skiepants $3.50 Boys underwear $1.00 <br />Harry Anderson - Fuel $5.00 Groc $3.00 <br />Ed Keegan – Monticello rest Hospital $20.00 <br />Supplies at Boyds Drugs store Monticello ? <br /> <br />A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Frank Nickerson to approve H.J. Pfeiffers bond as <br />Justice of Peace. <br /> <br />M.C. Tesch, Pres. Appointed G.A. Bailey and Frank Nickerson as a committee to see about getting <br />2 acres of wood to have relief clients work out their relief orders. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Frank Nickerson to allow the bill of Louis A <br />Johnson for $15.00 for wood. <br /> <br />No further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Wm H Greupner M.C.
