<br />RESOLUTION 95- 51 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING NOTICE OF SUMMARY <br />PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 95-15 <br />AMENDING SECTION 1008 OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 24, 1995, Elk River City Council adopted Ordinance <br />95-15, amending Section 1008 of the Elk River City Code of <br />Ordinances titled, "Subdivision Ordinance." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the amendment to the subdivision ordinance provides for <br />consistency with current operating procedures, minor format <br />changes and restructuring; adjustment of grammatical errors <br />and clarification of subdivision procedures and financing; <br />and <br /> <br />tit <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subdivision ordinance sets forth rules and regulations <br />governing plats and subdivision of land in the City of Elk <br />River. It is the purpose of these regulations to: <br /> <br />1. Provide for and guide the orderly, economic and safe <br />development of land and urban services and facilities. <br /> <br />2. Encourage well-planned, efficient, and attractive <br />subdivision by establishing adequate standards for design <br />and construction. <br /> <br />3. Facilitate adequate provision for streets, transportation, <br />water, sewage, storm drainage, schools, parks, playgrounds <br />and other public services and facilities. <br /> <br />4. Place the cost of improvements against those benefiting <br />from their construction. <br /> <br />5. Secure the rights of the public with respect to public <br />lands and waters. <br /> <br />6.
