<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 95- 49 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND AFFIRMING THE CREATION <br />OF A CITIZEN HERITAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the community of Elk River has a long and rich history <br />embracing a diversity of cultures, people and traditions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the community of Elk River is approaching the 150th <br />anniversary of Euro-American settlement at the confluence <br />of the Elk And the Mississippi Rivers and the establishment <br />of the Territory of Minnesota. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Elk River affirms the establishment of a Citizen Heritage <br />Planning Committee to plan for activities, events and <br />programs aimed at enhancing the appreciation of the history <br />of Elk River and creating a shared community heritage. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 24th day of July, <br />1995. <br /> <br />;LrzJ?~ <br /> <br />Sandra A Thackeray, City Clerk <br /> <br />
