<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 17, 1939 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the council was held Monday April 17, 1939 at the Municipal Bldg at 8 o’clock <br />P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Frank Nickerson, Pres.; G.A. Bailey, Wm Patenaude, and Geo Cornelius, Trustees; <br />Wm H Greupner, Clerk <br /> <br />The purpose of this meeting was to act on Orville Christenson’s on and off sale non-intoxicating <br />malt liquor license. A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Geo Cornelius to reject this <br />license. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Nels Christenson presented an on and off sale non intoxicating malt liquor application to operate in <br />the place of Orville Christenson. A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Wm Patenaude <br />to grant this license. Motion carried. <br /> <br />G.A. Bailey reported that he and Geo Cornelius had been looking at a second hand road grader that <br />could be bought for $50.00 and they thought it a very good buy. After some discussion a motion <br />was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Wm Greupner to buy this Adams 2 horse road grader No. 3. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by G.A.
