<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 16, 1939 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the council was held Monday Jan 16, 1939 at Caley’s Hdwr Store. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Frank Nickerson, Pres.; G.A. Bailey and Geo Cornelius, Trustees; Wm H Greupner, <br />Clerk <br /> <br />The purpose of this meeting was to decide if the Village Council should appropriate $50.00 for the <br />maintenance of the skating rink at the stadium. <br /> <br />After some discussion it was decided that the Village had payed out a lot of money the past year for <br />the upkeep of the swimming pool and though that the skating rink should be taken care of thru the <br />school. <br /> <br />No further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Wm H Greupner Frank M.
