Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Tom Sagstetter—Conservation & Key Accounts Manager <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> October 8, 2019 6.1f <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • In the last 30 days, the level two charger located downtown had 6 sessions, and <br /> provided customers with 27 kWh of green energy.The charger in the ERMU/City Hall <br /> parking lot had 18 sessions and provided customers with 208 kWh of green energy. The <br /> DC fast charger at the Coborn's fuel station has had 16 sessions and provided 103 kWh <br /> of green energy to customers. There was a total of 40 charging sessions and 338 kWh of <br /> energy provided over the last 30 days. <br /> • The insurance claim for engine 1 at the landfill is completed. The final cost for the <br /> repairs was $18,251.30, which will be applied towards the annual deductible. <br /> • Hosted a National Drive Electric Week event at the Elk River Farmers Market. The event <br /> was a great success. Five additional vehicles were brought by enthusiastic drivers who <br /> shared their experiences. There was well over 125 people that stopped by to get <br /> information about electric vehicles, the Clean Energy Choice Program, or the in-home <br /> charging program offered by ERMU. <br /> • Staff continues to work with the load management customers transitioning from <br /> Connexus Energy to ERMU. Overall the transition of these customers has gone smoothly <br /> and should be finalized in the next two weeks. <br /> • Staff met with a commercial customer to determine how best to serve a proposed <br /> expansion at their existing facility. The location of the expansion is complicated by <br /> existing wastewater and natural gas service lines. <br /> • Staff is continuing to work with a number of commercial customers closely on energy <br /> efficiency rebates. Staff recently presented a rebate check of$20,000 to Sherburne <br /> County for the lighting and HVAC upgrades to the remodeled government center.The <br /> total project will save an estimated 530,000 kWh in energy consumption annually. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> 269 <br />
