<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />March 6, 1961 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was called together as usual <br /> <br />Attendance: \[Not listed\] <br /> <br />a group came to question the moving in of several barrack type buildings into the township. <br /> <br />The spokesman for the group asked what was to be the use of the buildings. What was to be done <br />to them to improve the appearance of them. Mr. Wilson questioned the man working with Mr. Lenz <br />to get his plans. Mr. Sullivan is the man who is moving in these buildings. Mr Goddard <br />recommended and moved that Mr. Sullivan be given 60 days to provide specification as to what is to <br />be done to the buildings also to prove his financial capacity to carry out his plans. These should be <br />presented to Mr. Wilson for his approval which in turn is to \[be\] approved by the town board. The <br />motion was seconded and carried. <br /> <br />Bird Millet was called before the board to explain what he intends to do at the Hamlett Body Shop <br />in the line of used cards and used parts. He explained he intended to sell used cars and he planned to <br />wreck cars on a piece of land a quarter of a mile back from the highway. <br /> <br />Floyd Lieske appeared to see if there was any work on the town roads to be done.
