ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
March 2, 1959

The town board of Elk River township met in regular session at the Court house.

Attendance: \[Not listed\]

Forrest Johanning appeared before the board to see what can be done to stop the shooting at the
Village dump. Also to see what could be done to rid the dump of some of the rats. Some of the
shooting is doing damage to the telephone lines adjacent to the dump. It was suggested some of the
board meet with Village Council to get some action. Morris Wilson mentioned that as long as the
Village owns the dump it was up to them to maintain it properly or they would be held responsible
for damages. It was suggested that the Clerk write the Village Council a letter with the
recommendations of the town board. Mr Thomas met to see if the town board found out where the
lines were for the town road going into the Orono cemetery. The town has no say as to the change
of lines. Miss Thompson from the Minnesota Mobile Home Assn. came to the meeting. She
explained the trailer park ordinance and the state control over them.

\[No note re: adjournment or sign-off by Clerk.\]
