<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE VILLAGE OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />August 20, 1973 at 8:00 PM. <br /> <br />Members present were as follows: Councilmen Syring, Cooper Otto, and Village Engineer <br />Bill Mills, Village Attorney John MacGibbon were in attendance. As there was not a <br />presiding officer in attendance the meeting was declared a non offical meeting. <br /> <br />At 8:00 PM. Councilman Robert Syring declared the taking of bids for the 1973 Street <br />Improvements be closed. <br /> <br />The bids received were opened by Wm. Mills and were as follows: <br /> <br />CONTRACTORS <br />Buffalo Bituminous <br />C.S. McCrossan <br />Hardrives Inc. <br /> <br />BID <br />$41,072.40 <br />$46,211.00 <br />$65,711.00 <br /> <br />BID BOND <br />5% <br />5% <br />5% <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned and will reconven as soon as a presiding officer is avaliable. <br /> <br />August 21, 1973 at 7:30 PM Acting Mayor Tom Hudson offically called the regular semi- <br />monthly meeting of the Elk River Village Council to order. The following members were <br />present: Acting Mayor Hudson, Councilmen Cooper, Otto and Syring. <br /> <br />The minutes of the regular semi-monthly meeting of August 6, 1973 were approved as <br />printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Otto and seconded by Councilman Cooper that the Village accept and <br />award the bid for the 1973 Street Improvements submitted by Buffalo Bituminous at the bid <br />price of $41,072.40 final acceptence and awarding subject to bid tabulation by Village <br />Engineer Wm. Mills. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Cooper and seconded by Councilman Otto to accept and approve the <br />plans and specification and to call for bids on the Storm Sewer Project for School Street <br />prepared by Wm. Mills dated Aug. 17, 1973 and the opening of the bids be set for <br />Sept. 11, 1973 at 10:00 AM. in the Village Council Chambers and the Village Engineer <br />Wm. Mills is instructed to advertize in the Sherburne County Star News and the <br />Construction Bulletin of this bid sale. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Cooper approving the list of the <br />Municipal Liquor Store bills for payment as presented and listed. A copy of the list <br />is attached. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 8:50 PM. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br />
