COUNCIL CHANIBERS OF THE VILLAGE OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />June 4, 1973 at 7: 30 PIv!. <br /> <br />The regular Semi~10nthly meeting of the Elk River Village Council was called <br />to order by the Acting Mayor Tom Hudson on June 4, 1973 at 7:30 PM. in the <br />Council Chambers of the Village Office Bldg. f1embers were present as follows: <br />Acting Nayor 'rom Hudson, Councilman HOQert Syring, Clifford Lundberg. <br />The minutes of the regular senli-monthly meeting of May 21, 1973 were approved <br />and the minutes of the Board of Review held May 30, 1973 were approved as <br />printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Lundberg accepting the <br />resignation of Mayor Hilmer Bartelt dated June 4th 1973. Notion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Lundberg and seconded by Councilman Syring authorizing <br />the instalation of a Alarm Siren for the Civil Defense to be located in the <br />Fire Station. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Nlr. Erwin Hiltner representing the Elk River Aerie No. 3264 Fra: .ternal Order <br />of Eagles met with Council and presented their renewal application for a <br />S~t-Up lic. The Council will review the application after the Chief of <br />Police has reviewed and signed the application. <br /> <br />Councilman Bob Otto in attendance 7:45 PM. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Lundberg and seconded by Councilman Otto that the <br />Village enter into a purchase agreement of the following parcels of land <br />by reference numbers 263,264,265,266,267 & 268 at a cost of $2.00 a sq. ft. <br />closing to be on' or before 1st day of January 1974 in behalf of the downtown I <br />parking lc,t project. II/lotion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Roland IJlurray met with the Council regarding the 82.5 ft. of land located <br />on lot 11 of Auditors Subdivision No.4. The Council stated that if they <br />vvere to make a road out of the strip of land there would be 16.5 ft. left <br />over but that $1,633.50 plus interest on the water assessment would have <br />to be paid if IJ[r. IJIurray l.'lJanted this plot 01" land. Mr. IVlurray will take <br />it under advisement. <br /> <br />Councilman Bob Syring reported on the 1973 Street Improvements needed. <br />A copy of his report is attachedo <br /> <br />I\1oved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto calling for <br />prelimip~ry Engineering Report on the proposed 1973 Street Improvement to <br />be pVe~aldJby the Village Engineer, Bill Mills. Motion unanimously carried <br />by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Otto and seconded by Councilman Syring authorizing <br />the purchase of a Olivetti Electric typewriter "and a Seiko calculator not <br />to exceed a total expense of $90U.UU. Motion unanimously carried by a vote <br />01' 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Lundberg and seconded by Councilman Otto authorizing <br />the purchase of vertlcal bllnas for the 1"our windows ln the outer office <br />from Adams Furnlture at a total cost installed of $193.13.
