<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />-., <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE ELK RIVJtiR VILLA.GE OFFICF; BUILDING <br /> <br />February 13, 1973 at 7:00 pm. <br /> <br />A Special Meeting of the Elk River Village Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Bartelt on February 13, 1973 at 7:00 pm. in the Council Chambers of the Village <br />Office Building for the purpose of reviewing our present statist of the sewer <br />treatment plant expansion program. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Bartelt, Councilmen, Syring, Hudson, <br />and Lundberg. Village Engineer Wm. Mills was in attendance. <br /> <br />Mr. Mills stated that during the winter months we are using 80% of our capacity <br />and that during the spring and summer rains we could conceivably go over our <br />plants capacity. Mr. Mills also remarked on the rumors regarding some of the <br />Federal Governments new standards for sewage treatment plants, until thRsenew <br />Federal Standards have been released we would not be held to our schedule of <br />expansion by MPCA, however as soon as the new standards have been released MPCA <br />would put us back on a regular schedule. <br /> <br />Therefore upon release of the new Federal Standards our plan of procedure would <br />be to call for up-dating of our plans and specifications to be submitted to MPCA <br />for approval and then re-apply for Federal Grant. <br /> <br />The Clerk-Treasurer was instructed to prepare an outline summerizing the Village <br />Councils action taken so far regarding the sewage treatment plant expansion <br />program. <br /> <br />;I. l(9 '15 <)() <br /> <br />The Council approved the final payment of $~ payable to Meadowvale Builders <br />Supply for the construction of the Pole Barn located at the Disposal Plant property. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman Lundberg to accept Mr. Robert <br />Johnson's latest proposal which reads as follows: Letter of resignation from <br />Mr. Johnson to the Village Council of Elk River prior to Feb. 15, 1973 upon receipt <br />of said letter. Mr. Johnson will work for a 2 month period starting Feb. 15, 1973 <br />for the Elk River Police Department at the end of the 2 month period Mr. Johnsons <br />employment will be terminated at.which time $250.00 termination pay is authorized. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />No further business. meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />'-----~ <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman Syring authorizing $2,000.00 <br />for expenditurer to the Elk River Planning Commissions budget. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />@ <br />
