<br />) <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Elk River Villa.ge Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Bartelt on July 20, 1971 at B:30 pm in the Council Room of the Village Office <br />Building. Members ~esent were Mayor Bartelt and Councilmen Hudson, Konop and otto. <br /> <br />The Council met as a canvassing board for the purpose of canvasing the results of <br />the July 20, 1971 special bond election. Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded <br />by Counci~ Konop, to accept the results of the election. Motion unamiously carried. <br /> <br />William Mills, Village Engineer reported that Sherburne County has given the Village <br />permission to trench cut Meadowvale R~d for the sanitary sewer and watermain <br />impro vemerit s. <br /> <br />Moved by Councrlman Otto and seconded by Councilman Hudson, to accept the low bid <br />of Three-Way Construction for the construction of sanitary sewer and watermain <br />extensions on Vernon Avenue from their present terminals on Vernon Avenue North on <br />Vernon 'Avenue to Meadowvale R~d thence Northwest on Meadowvale Road to York Avenue, <br />thence West and South on York Avenue to connect to the present terminals, Three-~'iay <br />Construction being judged competent by the Village Engineer and authorizing the <br />VJaydr and the ~eputy Clerk-Treasurer to sign a contract in the amount of $3B,3Bl.06. ( ) <br />Motion unaminously ca.rried. A copy of the resolution is attachedo <br />. . <br /> <br />A request was received from Mr. Lenzmeier, to utilize 'three parking spaces in front <br />of the Ben Franklin Store for a sidewalk sale to be held Thursday, July 22, 1971. <br />Agreeable with the Council members. <br /> <br />~oved.by Councilman Hudson and, seconded by Councilman Otto, to allow the Mayor, <br />Counc~lmen and Clerk-Treasurer, an mileage allowance of 9i per mile while <br />t~aveling outside the village on offic8L business.
