<br />rJ <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Elk River Village Council, following the public <br />information meeting on 'the proposed new fire station, was called to order by <br />11a.yor Bartelt on July 14, 1971 at 8:45pm in the Council Room of the Village <br />Office Building. Members present were Mayor Bartelt and Councilmen Hudson, <br />Syring and otto. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman otto to reschedule the <br />street improveme;nt: hearings for August 2, 1971. Motion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Otto and seconded by Councilman Hudson to appoint Jordon <br />Odegard as Deputy Clerk-Treasurer with the salary to be determined later. <br />Motion unaminously carried. . <br /> <br />'~) <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Huasonand seconded by Council:lnan Syring to hire Mrs. <br />Russel Olson for temporary office ,help in the 'Village Office, to work 35 hours <br />per 'week @ $2.00 'per hour. . Motion un~inously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to authorize the <br />Liquor Committee along with the Liquor Store Manager to proceed with the <br />dismissal of the dishonest liquor store employees and to rehire replacement <br />personnel at hourly rates equal to or if necessary in excess of that which is <br />now being paid. Motion unaminously carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman Otto to hire the Pioneer <br />Detective Agency to investigate the liquor storeperiodically not to exceed <br />six times a year.
