The Pledge of Allegiance was last discussed by the Parks and Recreation
Commission at the June 12, 2013, meeting. It was decided at that meeting that there was no interest to
state the Pledge of Allegiance.

One of the reasons it was brought up is that many of the Boards and Commissions currently recite the
Pledge of Allegiance, including the Planning Commission and the Arena Commission.

Financial Impact
N/A

Attachments
June 12, 2013 Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes
