Council to interview Amy Lord for consideration to serve on the Energy City Commission as a <br /> school representative. If appointed, Ms. Lord’s term would begin immediately and expire <br /> February 28, 2020. <br /> <br />2. Council to interview Alec Plaisted for consideration to serve on the Energy City Commission as an <br /> energy-related business representative or commercial customer representative as outlined below. If <br /> appointed, Mr. Plaisted’s term would begin immediately and expire February 28, 2022. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The Energy City Commission has two vacancies. One vacancy for a representative designated by a school <br />located in Elk River. Amy Lord is currently employed by ISD #728 as the Career and Technical <br />Education Coordinator. <br /> <br />The other vacancy is for a representative meeting one of the following requirements: <br />a) Energy related businesses (this can include consultants, manufacturers, technology, <br /> environmental, energy producers and/or energy providers); <br />b) Commercial or residential customers (representatives must receive at least one city <br /> service—water, sewer, trash collection, or electric delivery), or; <br />c) Nonprofit organizations (this can include schools, youth organizations or business <br /> organizations as determined by the city council). <br />Alec Plaisted is employed by Plaisted Companies.
