<br /> <br /> <br />*Item 3.4 <br /> <br />MEMORAiNDUM <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Joan Schmidt, City Clerk <br /> <br />DATE: June 6, 2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Annual Liquor License Renewals <br /> <br />REQUEST <br />Renewal of liquor licenses for 2005-2006 licensing year. <br /> <br />APPLICANTS <br />A list is attached. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Liquor licenses run from July 1 through June 30 with the exception of the 2 A.M. license. <br />The 2 A.M. license runs for one-year concurrent ~t the time of application. (Elk River Bowl <br />also has a 2 A.M. license but this license does not expire until 9 /28/05 and will be on the <br />council agenda for approval at that time.) All of the establishments have submitted the <br />appropriate documentation and license fees. Background checks are necessary for the <br />renewals of on-sale, wine, and club licenses. Background checks have also been done on 3.2 <br />percent malt beverage as suggested by Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division of the <br />Department of Public Safety. <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br /> <br />Council motion to approve the liquor licenses indicated on the attached list for the 2005- <br />2006 licensing year. <br /> <br />s: \ Council\J oan \Liquor\Renwals.doc <br />
