Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Troy Adams, P.E.—General Manager <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> April 9, 2019 6.1a <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Updates <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) met on <br /> March 26, 2019, at the offices of Shakopee Public Utilities. Both Commissioner Al <br /> Nadeau and I were able to attend. <br /> The Board discussed the status of the renewable projects the Agency is pursuing. <br /> Management reported on MMPA's participation at the American Public Power <br /> Association's annual legislative rally in Washington, DC last month. <br /> Participation in MMPA's residential Clean Energy Choice program increased over <br /> December, with a market penetration that is now at 3.0%, with other member <br /> communities' participation ranging from 1.9%to 5.2%. Program participation is growing <br /> at a 20%annual rate. <br /> • Per the Governance Policy G.3e General Manager Performance Planning and Evaluation <br /> and consistent with Governance Policy G.3d Monitoring Performance of the General <br /> Manager, the Commission conducts a formal evaluation of the General Manager during <br /> the second quarter of each fiscal year.This is scheduled to be held during the May <br /> Commission Meeting currently scheduled for May 14.
