Call Meeting To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Planning Commission <br />was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Pederson. <br /> <br />2. Consider 12/18/01 Planning Commission Agenda <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER MESICH MOVED TO APPROVE THE DECEMBER 18,2001 <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER BAKER SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consider 12/04/01 Planning Commission Minutes <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BAKER MOVED TO APPROVE THE DECEMBER 4, 2001 <br />MINUTES. COMMISSIONER MESICH SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4. Planning Commission Representative to Attend January City Council Meeting <br /> <br />Commissioner Ropp will attend the January 22,2001 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />5.1. Request by Bart Boese for Conditional Use Permit for Home Occupation and Outdoor <br />Storage of Equipment for Excavating Business. Public Hearing - Case No. CU 01-38 <br /> <br />Staff report by Scott Harlicker. Bart Boese is requesting a conditional use permit for a home <br />occupation and outdoor storage of equipment for an excavating business at 20377 Auburn <br />Street. Mr. Harlicker provided information regarding layout of the site, type of equipment <br />and where it would be stored on the property, types and location of existing vegetation, and <br />surrounding uses. Staff recommends approval of the request with the 3 conditions listed in <br />the staff report. <br /> <br />Chair Pederson opened the public hearing. There being no public comment, Chair Pederson <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mesich questioned whether the additional trees recommended by staff were <br />necessary, since there were no residences nearby. Mr. Harlicker stated that the adjacent 20 <br />acre parcel is zoned RIa and could be subdivided into 2 ~ acre lots. <br />
