Call Meeting To Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Planning Commission was called to order at 6:58 p.m. by Chair Mesich. 2. Consider 2/27/01 Plannina Commission Aaenda COMMISSIONER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 27, 2001 PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 3. Consider Planning Commission Minutes COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE JANUARY 23, 2001, MINUTES. COMMISSIONER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0-1. Commissioner Schuster abstained. COMMISSIONER CHAMBERS MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 13, 2001, MINUTES. COMMISSIONER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 4. Plannina Commission Reoresentative to Attend March City Council Meeting Commissioner Johnson will attend the March 19.2001, City Council meeting. 5.1. Reauest by Elk River Area Schools for Conditional Use Permit for Senior High Parking Lot Expansion. Public Hearina - Case No. CU 01-11 Staff report by Director of Planning Michele McPherson. Independent School District #728 requests approval of a conditional use permit for the expansion of the senior high school parking lot. Ms. McPherson noted that an interim use permit was previously granted by the City for temporary parking on this area. The proposed parking lot will add 372 parking spaces. which meets the parking required for 1.116 students (one space per three students). The existing parking area provides parking for 726 students (242 spaces). Ms. McPherson noted that
