Elk River �. <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Tom Sagstetter—Conservation & Key Accounts Manager <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> February 12, 2019 6.1f <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • In the last month, the level two charger downtown had 4 sessions, and provided <br /> customers with 37 kWh of green energy.The charger in the ERMU/City Hall parking lot <br /> had 9 sessions and provided customers with 135 kWh of green energy. The DC fast <br /> charger at the Coborn's fuel station had 14 sessions and provided 55 kWh of green <br /> energy to customers. <br /> • Reached out to many of our key accounts to discuss the rate decrease for 2019. They <br /> were supportive of the Utilities Commission and the results of the strategic decisions <br /> made to provide the rate decrease. <br /> • Staff is working with GRE to finalize the purchase of substation metering and other <br /> equipment that will complete the transition to MMPA. <br /> • Provided assistance to the Elk River EDA staff in development of the new Energy <br /> Incentive Program they have been working on. <br /> • Have been working with city staff and the Energy City Commission to complete the <br /> Hometown Solar grant application.The grant that is offered to MMPA communities <br /> provides for the installation of a solar array with a capacity of approximately 5 kW. This <br /> grant pays for the material and labor to install the array.The City of Elk River would be <br /> responsible for the maintenance, insurance, and decommissioning costs at the end of <br /> life.The solar array will provide a great tour site and will be used as an educational tool <br /> for students in the community. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> 100 <br />
