Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Eric Volk—Water Superintendent <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> February 12, 2019 6.1e <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Delivered twelve new water meters. <br /> • Sealed the water meter, and took curb stop ties from eleven water services. <br /> • Completed 15 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples <br /> o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria <br /> o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH <br /> • Completed 21 routine fluoride samples <br /> o All samples met MDH standards <br /> o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report <br /> o Completed one MDH validation fluoride sample <br /> • MDH completed Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) testing at Well 7, 9, and 6. <br /> • There was a water main break on January 21 at the corner of 190th Ave and Lowell St. <br /> We worked with Valley-Rich to get the main repaired.The water was off for roughly an <br /> hour. We will have the street patched in the spring. <br /> • We met with the cellular providers attached to the Auburn Water Tower. They are <br /> required by contract to remove their equipment for the reconditioning.They have to <br /> have their equipment removed by June 1. We will also have to relocate the wastewater <br /> departments SCADA antenna and our radio repeater before the reconditioning. <br /> • We have been moving forward with the design of the Well #8 control building.
