Meeting of the Woodland Trails Regional <br />Park Grant Committee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Wednesday, December 12, 2018 <br /> <br />Members Present: Chair Anderson, Commission members, Niziolek, Rathbun, Hal Stewart, <br />Julie Kallemeyn, Ron Nierenhausen, Jill Varty, Lynda Bouley, Darlene <br />Nickols <br />Members Absent: Sarah Fischer and Zachary Varty <br />WSB & Associates Candace Amberg and Eva Kelly <br />Staff Present: Parks and Recreation Director, Michael Hecker, Recreation Manager Steve <br />Benoit, Parks Superintendent Tim Sevcik, and Recreation Coordinator Tonya <br />Love <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Parks and Recreation <br />Commission was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chair Anderson. <br />1a. Introductions <br />Candance Amberg and Eva Kelly of WSB & Associates introduced themselves along with <br />the committee members. <br />2. Project Roles & Responsibilities <br />Discussed roles and responsibilities of City of Elk River, WSB, and design committee <br />3. Project overview/Tentative Schedule <br />Ms. Amberg explained that April 1 and 15, 2019 are dates approval for construction is due. <br />Ms. Amberg stated the committee needs to figure out schematic designs, what goes where, <br />and how things correlate to each other. This will lead to design development which shows <br />the sketches of what will be used in the design. <br />Commissioner Rathbun asked if City Council needs to approve documents. <br />Mr. Hecker shared that the Parks & Recreation Commission will need to recommend to City <br />Council and then City Council will do final approval. <br />
