Request for Action <br />ToItem Number <br />Planning Commission6.1 <br />Agenda Section Meeting DatePrepared by <br />Work Session January 29, 2019 Zack Carlton, Planning Manager <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />River Walk ApartmentsChris Leeseberg, City Administrator <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Provide informal, non-binding, feedback to the applicant regarding their proposed development of the <br />former Saxon Motors site. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The applicant has proposed redevelopment of the Saxon Motors property and building as a mixed use <br />building whichincorporates mini-storage and apartments. The existing building would be partially torn <br />down. The remaining section of the building would be remodeled to accommodate storage uses, and a <br />new residential addition would be constructed above and around the new storage area. <br /> <br />The property is guided for high-density residential uses, supporting the apartment use, but not themini- <br />storage facilities. The applicant has proposed development of the site as a PUD, allowing their unique <br />development with city approval. <br /> <br />The applicant is seeking input from Commissionregarding their intended use and requested deviations <br />from city ordinances. These requests are outlined in the attached comment letter.
