<br /> <br />Meeting of the Heritage Preservation Commission <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />October 18, 2018 <br /> <br /> <br />Members Present: Chair Mortenson, Commissioners Fox and Lindberg <br /> <br />Members Absent: n/a <br /> <br />Others Present: Senior Planner Chris Leeseberg <br /> <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Heritage Preservation <br />Commission was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Chair Mortensen. <br /> <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> <br />3. Consider October 18, 2018, Agenda <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Fox and seconded by Chair Lindberg to approve the <br />October 18, 2018, agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />4. Minutes of July 19, 2018, meeting <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Lindberg and seconded by Commissioner Fox to <br />approve the July 19, 2018, HPC meeting minutes. <br /> <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />5.1 How to Revitalize the HPC <br /> <br />Commissioner Lindberg updated how the history tours he has given have been well <br />attended and positive for the HPC. He indicated it might be beneficial to provide <br />bus tours as the walking tours can get to be too long, especially for those that have a <br />difficult time getting around. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fox suggested the HPC work with/partner with Community <br />Education and utilize their knowledge for activities such as bus tours. He suggested <br />having the history tours on a Saturday. <br /> <br />
