:) The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Elk River Village Council of the Village of Elk RiveI:' was called to order by.Mayor:Bartelt on Aug. 17, 1970, in the Council Room of the \Tillage Office Building at 7:30 pm, members were present:. as follows: lwia;yor Bartelt, Cpimc~wem ~yri.ng and l'ficheau. The rr.inutes of the Aug. 3, 1970 meeting were read. Th.@J:'e were no corrections or additions and the minutes were approved as read. Edmund Martin pre"sented his building permit tq move a 22 x 22 foot wood frame . building on to the Flora MarUn property at 1140 6th Street. His request was denied until Les ~~rr was able to check out .details on the minimum size require- ments of a dwelling in this area. .' Mr.R. Oetinger of the Fleetwood Construction Co., presented building permits for homes to be constructed as follows. (1). Across from the Senior High School on Proctor Ave., and t\\'O in the North Terrace Addition. All. three permits were granted with a special use permit for Lot' 6 Block 2 of the North Terrace Addition to allow a 5 foot> sideyara on 'the Ea.st and 'a 6 foot side yard on the ItJest. The resolution for the special use permit made by Councilman Syring and seconded by l~cheau. Motion Unaminously carried. Les Derr presented a proposal from Al Lyrek to install a new 10' x 10' door in the garage for .~ total cost of $787.90. This includes all labor to install and material. Agreed to proceed with the i~stal1a'.Hon of the door. Appointments to the Utili ties Com.'llission were discussed but was tabled until the next meeting vnen all members are present. ~ Dicision was made to hold the September meeting on $uesday, Sept. 8, 1970, instead of Monday, Sept. 7, 1970, due to the Labor pay Holiday. No further business, the meeting adjourned. ~
