Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Michelle Canterbury—Executive Administrative Assistant <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> December 11, 2018 2.4 <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Summary of General Manager Performance Evaluation <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Chair Dietz to provide a summary of the General Manager's performance evaluation <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On November 13, 2018, the Commission conducted a closed meeting for the second half of the <br /> performance evaluation of General Manager Troy Adams. The law requires that at its next open <br /> meeting,the Commission shall summarize its conclusions regarding the evaluation. Chair Dietz <br /> provided the following statement summarizing the Commission's conclusions regarding the <br /> evaluation. <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> A benchmarking analysis for the General Manager Pay Grade was provided for review. The <br /> Commission discussed Mr. Adams' performance and the general manager benchmarking results, <br /> and concluded that a market adjustment was warranted. The Commission also recommended that <br /> the General Manager position be benchmarked on an annual basis. <br /> After reconvening the regular meeting,the Commission unanimously approved by motion an <br /> additional 10%market adjustment, along with the 3% COLA for the General Manager position <br /> effective January 1, 2019. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> 42 <br />
