<br />- - <br />tile regular semi-monthly meeting of the Elk River Village Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Bartelt on Feb. 17, 1969, all member..s present. <br /> <br />The minutes of the Feb. 3, 1969 meeting were. read. No add.itions or corrections. <br /> <br />A joint meeting with the Elk River Town Board convened" present were Earl Schulke <br />Everett Specht and Mel Peterson. Possible solutions to joint development and <br />use of dumping grounds, parks and public library facilities were discussed. No <br />conclusions were drawn but the Town Board will, report back to the Village Council <br />with their recommendations. <br /> <br />William Mills reported that James Gagnon, representing the Corp of &1gineM"s <br />will be in Elk River at 1:00 pn Feb. 19, 1969 to .studythe erosion- problem on the <br />Elk River side of the Mississippi River. <br /> <br />Regarding the proposed Industrial Park. Mills reported that no federal money is <br />available for a private profit making organization. Bartelt reported that the <br />Village wants to be in a position to tun Sanitary Sewer and Watennain extensions <br />to the Industrial Parks property line. Suggested that their planning consultant <br />a.ttend one of our meetings when they decide just how much sewer and '\1B.termain <br />they will need. <br /> <br />Mills reported that. a watennain extension to the Sewer Disposal Plant would cost <br />$4,000.00 plus. Suggested that we rebuild the present well with a booster pump <br />for chlorinating and cleaning. <br /> <br />Mills presented the,assessment roll for the 1968 Sanitary Sewer Extension, as <br />follows: Ind. School District #728 $4,165.00, Larry, Morrell $3,200.00 and <br />Houltons Investment. Co. $960.00. ~ <br /> <br />A motion was made b~ McRae and seconded by Hudson, to approve the assessment rolls <br />as submitted by the. Village Engineer for the 1968 Sanitary Sewer E.."lCtension and to <br />authDoize the Vi11≥ Clerk to advertise in the official village paper on Feb. 27 <br />and. March 6, 1969 of an Assessment Hearing to be held at 8:00pm, Monday March 17, <br />1969, in the Council Room of the Municipal Building in the Village of Elk River <br />and directing the Village Clerk to send notices to all those to be assessed at <br />least 14 days prior. to the hearing. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mills presented his. preliminery report on sanitary sewer and watermain mensions <br />an School Street from Holt Avenue to Gates Avenue. <br /> <br />A motion ms made by Hudson and seconded by Syring, to. accept the engineers <br />preliminery report. dated Feb. 17, 1969 for aanitary sewer and watermain extensions <br />and to authorize the Village Engineer to prepare plans and specifications based on <br />the sanitary sewer and watermain layout described in this re?ort. Motion carried. <br />
