<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 18, 1961 <br /> <br />A special meeting was held at the Village Hall to consider the duties of the village treasurer and <br />village clerk. All members of the Council were present. Also Mr. J.C. Odegard, Villlage Treasurer <br />and John MacGibbon, Village Attorney. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, Lars Larson, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A. <br />Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />The clerk was asked to write Mr. Milne of Robert D. Milne and Associates to have him come out <br />and give us some assistance with the books. Mr. MacGibbon says there should be a reserve set up I <br />the Liquor Store Building account in case of emergency in the payment of bonds. One thousand <br />dollars should be put in the fund to partially make up for funds not yet reserved. <br /> <br />The council approve fire contracts with the following – <br />Town of Elk River, Big Lake, Otsego, Burns and Ramsey. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Briggs to approve the contract with the Union as <br />th <br />amended. The changes were agreed to at the Sept. 11 meeting. Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br />
